Process of Submission and
Peer Review
Accepted full paper will be invited to give the oral presentation at the conference and it’ll be published in the conference proceedings indexed in Scopus, Web of Science and others. Accepted abstract (without attached full paper) will be invited to give the oral presentation at the conference, but the abstract WILL NOT be published.
Please submit your papers by CMT Electronic Submission System. If you have any submission enquiry, contact at icitme@psu.edu.ph.
By submitting a paper to ICITME, the authors agree to the review process and understand that papers undergo a peer-review process. Manuscripts will be reviewed by appropriately qualified experts in the field selected by the Conference Committee, who will give detailed comments and — if the submission gets accepted — the authors submit a revised (“camera-ready”) version that takes into account this feedback.
Our conference is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and scholarly excellence. In line with our adherence to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), we implement a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and credibility of all research accepted for presentation and publication.
We follow a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review cycle. This approach helps ensure objective evaluations by minimizing potential biases and allowing reviewers to assess submissions purely on academic merit. Every manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the volume editor and will be assign to expert editor to verify its relevance to the conference theme, compliance with formatting and submission guidelines, and adherence to ethical research standards.
As part of this preliminary check, all submissions are subjected to plagiarism detection using reliable similarity-checking software (Turnitin and Strikeplagiarism). Manuscripts found to contain significant unoriginal content or lacking proper citations are either returned to the authors for correction or rejected outright. We do not tolerate plagiarism in any form, and all authors are expected to submit only original work that properly acknowledges all sources, including previously published data, figures, and text.
Following the initial checks, submissions that meet the required criteria are assigned to at least two qualified reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on various academic standards, including originality, clarity of objectives, methodological soundness, quality of data and analysis, relevance and significance of the findings, and adherence to ethical research principles. Ethical considerations such as participant consent (where applicable), data transparency, and responsible reporting are also critically assessed.
Based on the evaluations, the volume editor with the assistance of field editor makes a decision to accept the paper, accept with minor revisions, request major revisions and resubmission, or reject the manuscript. All authors receive detailed, feedback from reviewers to help improve their work. For those required to revise and resubmit, a revised version must be submitted within a specified timeframe and may be reassessed by the original reviewers or the scientific committee for final evaluation.
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of our review process. All manuscripts and reviewer reports are treated with strict confidentiality, and reviewers are prohibited from sharing or discussing the content with unauthorized individuals. Furthermore, both authors and reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may compromise the fairness of the review process.
The conference also provides an avenue for authors to appeal editorial decisions or raise concerns regarding the peer review process. Such appeals will be reviewed independently by the editorial board in accordance with COPE guidelines. Through this structured and ethically grounded peer review process, we aim to foster scholarly excellence, maintain academic integrity, and promote the responsible dissemination of knowledge.
