Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines which includes in-text citations with IEEE Referencing style.

Author Guidelines

Welcome to the submission guidelines for the Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (AJMS). We are committed to facilitating a smooth and transparent submission process for authors. These guidelines are designed to help you prepare your manuscript according to AJMS's standards. By ensuring your submission adheres to the following guidelines, you contribute to a more efficient review and publication process.

The authors should submit only papers that have been carefully proofread and polished. Before submission please make sure that your paper is prepared using the template. This will ensure fast processing and publication. Acceptance or rejection notification will be sent to all authors.

The author who wishes to submit may download Paper Template, and strictly follow the template. 

1. Manuscript Preparation

Article Types: AJMS accepts a variety of manuscript types, including research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications across multiple disciplines.

Language: Manuscripts must be written in English, with both British and American English acceptable, provided consistency is maintained throughout the text.

Format and Style:

  • Use a standard, readable font, such as Times New Roman, 12-point size, single-space, or you may download the template for guided formatting.
  • Manuscripts should be prepared as Microsoft Word documents.
  • Include page numbers and continuous line numbering.
  • Manuscripts typically should not exceed 5,000 words, including references, tables, and figure captions.

Structure:

  • Title Page: Includes the title, authors' names and affiliations, corresponding author's email address, and any acknowledgments.
  • Abstract: A concise summary of the manuscript, not exceeding 250 words, outlining the main findings and conclusions.
  • Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords for indexing purposes.
  • Introduction: Clearly states the research objectives and the significance of the study.
  • Methods: Describes the methodology in sufficient detail for the study to be replicable.
  • Results: Presents the findings in a logical sequence, supplemented by tables and figures where appropriate.
  • Discussion: Interprets the results, highlights their significance, and places them in the context of existing literature.
  • Conclusions: Summarizes the main findings and their implications.
  • References: Follows the IEEE referencing style, or APA (7th edition) referencing style with numbered in-text citations, we suggest you use Mendeley or any referencing tool to avoid errors in referencing.

2. Submission Process

Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through the AJMS online submission system (OJS). First-time users will need to register before submitting.

Cover Letter: Include a cover letter outlining the manuscript's significance, originality, and relevance to the scope of AJMS. Confirm that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere and is not under consideration by another journal. A Letter may be written at the comments to editor during the submission process. 

Ethical Considerations:

  • Disclose any potential conflict of interest.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards regarding human and animal research.
  • Include statements on consent, approval by ethical review boards, and data availability, as applicable.

3. Review and Publication Process

Peer Review: AJMS employs a double-blind peer review process. The identity of authors and reviewers remains confidential to ensure an unbiased review.

Revisions: Based on the reviewers' feedback, revisions may be requested. A detailed response to reviewers' comments should accompany revised manuscripts.

Acceptance and Publication: Once a manuscript is accepted, it will undergo professional copyediting, layout, and proofing. Authors will have the opportunity to review proofs before publication.

Open Access and Fees: AJMS is an open-access journal. Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance amounting to $90. 

4. Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance, authors agree to an open-access license agreement, allowing the article to be freely available and reusable under terms that permit unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
