Open Access Policy

Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (AJMS) Open Access Policy

Purpose and Scope

This policy establishes the guidelines for open access to all scholarly articles published in the Asian Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (AJMS) to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and impact of research within the global academic community.

Policy Statement

AJMS is committed to providing immediate, free access to the full text of all articles published in our journal. This policy ensures that AJMS's content is available to the widest possible audience, supporting the advancement of academic and scientific knowledge.

Licensing

All articles published in AJMS are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.

Author Fees

AJMS operates under an Article Processing Charge (APC) model to cover the costs of open access publication. The APC is payable upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication. AJMS offers waivers and discounts to authors from low-income countries or those who can demonstrate financial hardship. Please see detailed information about APC

Archiving and Preservation

AJMS articles are archived in multiple digital repositories around the world to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility such as LOCKSS, CLOCKSS and PKP Preservation Network (PN) preservation services.

Compliance with Open Access Mandates

AJMS supports authors in complying with open access mandates from funding bodies and institutions. Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories or subject-based repositories.

Quality Assurance

Open access publication does not compromise the peer review process and the quality of published content. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity and quality. Please see detailed information about Peer Review Process and Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

Accessibility

AJMS is committed to making its website and content accessible to the broadest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities. Our website conforms to web accessibility standards to ensure that information is accessible and usable to all.

Data Sharing

AJMS encourages authors to share the data supporting their research findings. Whenever possible, authors should deposit their data in a recognized data repository and include a data availability statement in their article. See Privacy Statement.

Copyright and Publishing Rights

Authors retain the copyright of their work published in AJMS. By publishing with AJMS, authors grant the journal a license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.

Preprints

AJMS recognizes the value of preprints in accelerating the dissemination of research and supports authors' use of preprint servers. Submission of a preprint to a recognized preprint server before submission to AJMS is permitted.

Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed periodically to adapt to the evolving open-access landscape and ensure that it continues to serve the needs of the academic community effectively.
